When the Plandemic Video first started making its way through social media Dr Zubin Damania (aka ZDoggMD on FaceBook) was the first real medical/science professional I saw that responded but I knew he wouldn’t be the last.
Dr. Giancarlo McEvenue is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon working at Top Aesthetics Miami (Doctor Giancarlo) and NOT an epidemiologist or virologist so he is NOT offering his personal opinions on the treatment or spread of the coronavirus but he is offering his advice on how to analyze claims being made as to whether they are bullshit or dangerous misinformation. In other words he is demonstrating how to use critical thinking skills and analysis.

Orac (Dr. David Gorski) is the nom de blog of a humble surgeon/scientist who has an ego just big enough to delude himself that someone, somewhere might
Orac the nom de guerre that surgical oncologist/scientist Dr. David Gorski uses to blog on science topics or more usually to rail against pseudoscience, bullshit, tinfoil hat conspiracies, and woo. In a recent tweet he has said:
Here is his commentary on the wacko quack Judy Mikovits and her role in the pseudoscience documentary video making the rounds in this covid-19 crisis.
Regular readers might have noticed that my output lately hasn’t been as…prolific…as in the past. You’d think that, with my spending more time at home than I have in a long time due to the restrictions put in place in Michigan to slow the spread of COVID-19 that I’d be a blogging fiend, even more so than usual, but oddly enough I’ve been less productive in that area than in the past.
Dr. Steven Novella a founding member of The New England Skeptical Society and part of the podcast The Skeptic’s Guide to the Universe writing in his Neurologica Blog on the #Plandemic video making the rounds….
“…The video features Dr. Judy Mikovits, and is basically an interview with her. Unfortunately this is a slick piece of utter nonsense and conspiracy mongering. Mikovits has zero credibility in any of her claims, but they are combined with music and clips of videos to create the impression that there is some reality behind her outrageous claims. Let me focus on a few claims to show how low her and the filmmaker’s credibility are….”
A promotional video on YouTube for a new documentary, Plandemic, is making the rounds and promoting quite a response. The video features Dr. Judy Mikovits, and is basically an interview with her. Unfortunately this is a slick piece of utter nonsense and conspiracy mongering.
Jessa Jones of iPadReHab runs a mobile device repair service (not a bad business to be in at all!) but in her she her college education and training she earned a PhD. in Molecular Genetics from Johns Hopkins which as she notes in no way makes her qualified to offer her judgements on how to treat Covid-19 but she does show how to use critical thinking skills and analysis to evaluate what is true and what is bullshit. I think this is not just a good video for how it dismantles and argues against the premises and claims made in the Plandemic video but it also is a good guid for how to think critically!
How to tell if Plandemic is BS or not. (May 7, 2020)
I share my thoughts on the strategies I use to tell whether something on the internet is BS or not, and then apply Occam’s razor to the Plandemic video. This is the full video. I will also post separate shorter videos of just the Plandemic critique and just the BS detection strategies.
Fact-checking Judy Mikovits, the controversial virologist attacking Anthony Fauci in a viral conspiracy video
In a video that has exploded on social media in the past few days, virologist Judy Mikovits claims the new coronavirus is being wrongly blamed for many deaths. She makes head-scratching assertions about the virus– for instance, that it is “activated” by face masks. Mikovits also accuses Anthony Fauci, head of the U.S.

Fact-checking ‘Plandemic,’ a documentary full of false conspiracy theories about the coronavirus – Poynter
Before platforms removed it, a 26-minute video called “Plandemic: The Hidden Agenda Behind Covid-19” was viewed tens of millions of times. It’s full of falsehoods.
Who is Judy Mikovits in ‘Plandemic,’ the coronavirus conspiracy video just banned from social media?
When Judy Mikovits co-wrote a 2009 research paper that linked the mysterious condition known as chronic fatigue syndrome to a retrovirus that came from mice, thousands of sick patients hoping for relief rallied behind her. The scientific riddle was solved, they thought.
Go on social media right now and you are destined to run in to someone sharing or promoting a video that has gone viral called PLANDEMIC. They will parrot the points from this video like good little puppets, without taking the time to research who is giving them the information, or the credibility of the information being presented.
