I saw a comment on FB yesterday where in response to where professor David Rothkopf of Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs writing on “The Shallow State” wrote:
“…Donald Trump, champion and avatar of the shallow state, has won power because his supporters are threatened by what they don’t understand, and what they don’t understand is almost everything.”
…some guy commented writing:
—“Jxx Hxxxxxx: Actually no. I voted for Trump because the thought of one of the most corrupt families in the history of the country was again about to occupy the White House gave me nightmares. AND I do read and understand facts, a bevy of which I can present in order to back my beliefs.”—
What? “ONE OF THE MOST CORRUPT FAMILIES IN THE HISTORY OF THE COUNTRY”???? Where does he get something like that? Where the f#*@ does that come from?
A seed was planted in that guy’s brain years ago in the early 1990s and then cultivated watered and fertilized by as a sustained and well-funded strategy of defamation by the right to shape the way we talk about the Clintons, what we believe or think we “know” about the Clintons.
The Russians then came along a few years back and took to harvesting the seeds from those cultivated crops of distortions disinformation and outright lies and made sure it was spread around fertilized and cultivated again. And they then went beyond that to help develop new strains of disinformation, the “Fake News”, building on the past and weaponizing new lies like Clinton was in “very poor health due to a serious illness”, the Pope had endorsed Trump, and HRC approved weapons sales to Islamic jihadists, Pizzagate, and more.
Anyone who denies this doesn’t understand how incredibly powerful marketing is and that we are constantly being bombarded by marketing every day.
