Prothero is a paleontologist, geologist, author and science educator. He holds a Ph.D in geological sciences from Columbia University, and he has authored over 300 scientific papers and 30 books. He is currently a research associate in vertebrate paleontology at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.

In the past couple of months I have found myself stunned by the number of otherwise intelligent people who are speaking up and jumping on the Anti-GM Food bandwagon who know virtually nothing at all about the science and history of Genetically Modified Food and Organisms. In many ways and I know I not alone in observing this it reminds me a lot of all the people who jumped on the dangerous anti-Vacinnation bandwagon too.
