Interesting article and not necessarily a perspective I would diagree with especially considering the quote from the article…
America cannot punish its elected officials for allowing its military to take risks necessary to pursue its interests.
BUT bi-partisan policitcs is dead and it was us, the Progressive Demcrats that killed it. So I think it perfectly acceptable to make hay over the fact that Trump gave a go to a very risky raid over a dinner table with Jared Kuschenr and Steve Bannon and then chose not to view the raid in action in the situation room.
So the guy who lied about Hilllary being in bed during Benghazi was literally in bed during the Yemen raid.

Don’t Blame Trump for the Failed Raid in Yemen
America cannot punish its elected officials for allowing its military, diplomatic corps, and intelligence services to take risks necessary to pursue its interests. The United States lost a Navy SEAL this past week in a raid in Yemen that went wrong.
And it wasn’t as if this raid was Ready-To-Go either. Colin Kahl, who was a national security official under President Obama has said while yes planning was done under the Obama administration in a general fashion it wasn’t a “done deal”.
Former Obama official: Trump’s deadly Yemen raid wasn’t planned under Obama’s watch
President Donald Trump’s first major military operation, a Navy SEAL raid in Yemen that left multiple civilians dead as well as American Chief Petty Officer William “Ryan” Owens, may not have been as extensively planned under Obama’s administration as Team Trump initially suggested.
