It’s been my own anecdotal observation and thinking which I think will soon be validated by real data that the real tragedy of Donald Trumps run has been to many, lets call them “Deplorables” he has validated their latent racism, sexism, anti-semitism, homophobia, and xenophobia okay and somehow in their publicly acceptable.
Perhaps the upside to this mess is we can now see how deep and widespread this infection is in our American society and maybe in the years ahead good people will actively start to do something about it rather than sitting on the sidelines watching in denial.
I do think it true we all need to “Buckle [our] seat belts, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.”
