For months I’ve been saying he’s the worst candidate for president I seen in my lifetime and while I am sure there is someone out there lower and slimier than Donald Trump I don’t know who that is yet. He/she is not on my radar that I can think of (check my list of Wingnuts we can do without).
I don’t know how good decent intelligent Republicans can stand by or behind this incredibly disgusting angry scared desperate human being. I know of dangerous and deadly parasitic organisms with more moral character than Trump exhibits.
Donald Trump’s slander of Captain Humayun Khan’s family is horrifying, even for Trump
The most emotional moment of the Democratic National Convention was the speech by Khizr Khan, the bereaved father of Army Captain Humayun Khan. With his wife Ghazala by his side, Khan recalled his son’s character, his faith, his patriotism – and, ultimately, his courageous death in the service of the country he loved, and the fellow soldiers he was protecting.

I rewatched Khizr Khan’s speech – and it made me weep for our country
If you haven’t yet seen it, you really need to watch Thursday night’s Democratic convention speech by Khizr Khan, the father of Army Cpt. Humayun Khan, a Muslim immigrant who was killed in action in Iraq in 2004 while protecting his unit from a car bomb.
There is a good argument being made for a while now that Trumps complete disconnect from having any kind of empathy is a good indication that he is a genuine sociopath or psychopath (there is a subtle difference between the two). I think it amazing but perfectly typical of Trump that instead of a response showing any kind of real compassion for the Khan’s he chose to respond with an attack of Mrs Khan for her silence on stage and attacking her Muslim religion for that silence instead of just recognizing the distress that any loving white christian mother might display in a similar circumstance.
Donald Trump’s fight with the Khans is a reminder of his greatest weakness
Today, Ghazala Khan published a Washington Post op-ed entitled, “Trump criticized my silence. He knows nothing about true sacrifice.” For Trump, it gets worse from there. Khan writes: I cannot walk into a room with pictures of Humayun.
